ABOUT THE WELSH TIMBER FORUM
The Welsh Timber Forum was set up in September 1999 by a number of individuals working in wood-based industries in Wales. They had the vision of an organisation which could work for them and represent them inside and beyond Wales. Formally constituted in June 2000, the Welsh Timber Forum aims to represent and support SMEs working with or wishing to work with Welsh timber, by: - Providing a channel for consultation between the SME sector in wales and public / private sector organisations.
- Providing a networking and awareness raising opportunity across the breadth of the SME timber sector in Wales.
- Helping develop the Welsh timber supply chain both short and long term and to support marketing of Welsh timber products.
- Developing interaction with colleges and university departments to
- Facilitating and encouraging group projects and activities.
Membership is open to any small or medium-sized business, individual, or body, working with or intending to work with Welsh timber. Membership fees are: - 50 for businesses trading in timber products and services
- 20 for non trading companies and individuals
